Heat Exchangers for LNG

LNG (liquefied natural gas) facilities frequently use plate and shell heat exchangers (HEX) for heat exchange operations. It is made to effectively transfer heat between two fluids—one of which might be LNG or another industrial fluid—while preserving a high standard of safety and performance.

The LNG is usually heated at an LNG regasification terminal using a plate and shell heat exchanger, which causes the LNG to vaporise and return to its gaseous condition. Heat is delivered to the LNG, which is kept at extremely low temperatures (-196°C), from a secondary fluid like steam.

In order to provide effective and regulated evaporation, the heat exchanger enables the LNG to absorb heat without coming into direct contact with the heating liquid.

The small and effective Smart LNG plate pack can regasify up to 60,000 Nm3/hr of LNG.
